Well, I liked the camera a lot, didn't get to use it more than a week. I had placed it on the kitchen counter and the faucet sprayed water on it. I immediately picked it up to wipe off the water but the act of picking it up and wiping it kept activating the power button and the lens opened and closed thus probably allowing the water to get further inside and now it's broken for good, it doesn't even turn on and I already waited 5 days to try powering it on again. The camera was so new I wasn't aware that it needed to be picked up extremely carefully to avoid touching the power button, I was just in a hurry to get the water off. I feel bad because it was a gift and feel a little gypped because it wasn't like the camera was submersed in water ~ I'm posting this so that hopefully I can help save your camera! Don't let it get even a little wet! Get a bag to keep it in. anything will be better than nothing! I really like it and have updated this post to announce I bought another one! At least now I have a backup battery!
